The animals play an integral role on the farm way before they end up on your plate.  The cattle bring fertility to the fields and enrich the compost with manure. Managed rotational grazing sequesters carbon in the soil. The pigs eat scraps from the garden and add their fertility to the pastures.

Each animal has its place in the system.
